Something for everyone to enjoy

Main Arena Attractions 

The Main Arena is packed with many exhilarating attractions over the 4 days of the Show, such as the RAF Parachute, Military Band, The Paul Hannam – Quad Bike Stunt Show and Polo Exhibition.


Balmoral Show attracts top quality livestock, all competing for prized red rosettes and prestigious Balmoral Championship titles.  With hundreds of classes for a variety of farm animals from cattle, sheep, pigs and goats, the excellence and variety on display is unrivaled in Northern Ireland.  

Show Jumping

This year the Balmoral Show will have a full schedule of Showjumping classes including the return of International Showjumping.

Healthy Horticulture

The Healthy Horticulture area will entice and excite green fingered enthusiasts. Ulster Beekeepers and CAFRE will provide interactive areas as well as herb and wildlife gardens. 

This year there will be a Kids Trails around the Healthy Horticulture area for primary aged children. 

In the Horticulture Forum marquee meet growers of fruit and vegetables in NI, learn about social farming and how horticulture is good for our physical health, good for our mental health and wellbeing and good for the planet.

NI Food Pavilion

Sheep Shearing

Come and see the various shearing and wool handling competitions which will take place over the 4 days in the Shearing Pavilion.  It is fast, exciting and very competitive. This year the Show welcomes the the Six Nations Machine Shearing Championships.

Trade Stands

The Show is a shoppers paradise, with something for everyone.  From farm and plant machinery to crafts, food and fashion, you’re sure to find something of interest.  

Walkabout Acts

The Show is a fun-filled and entertaining experience from start to finish.  Even as you walk throughout the showgrounds our street performers will be amusing you with colourful costumes, comedy and silly antics.


Thursday is traditionally the main Young Farmers day, with machinery handling and ladies football competitions.  Be sure to visit the YFCU stand and find out how to join a club near you and learn about all the different activities that you could be involved in. 

Children's Farm

The Children's Farm showcases an abundance of cute, cuddly baby farm animals.  Children are given the opportunity to hold, stroke and even feed the baby animals provided by Ark Open Farm.

Fun Fair

Beside the Eikon Exhibition Centre (Shopping Village) you will find the ever popular Fun Fair which is full of rides and games to entertain all ages.
