The Balmoral Show’s Fill Your Boots competition is back and we are on the search for green-fingered horticulturists to create a welly boot display showcasing “Boots fit for a Queen” in recognition of the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
The free to enter competition has three categories for budding horticulturists of all ages including Pre-School/Primary school, aged 12-17 years old and an over 18 category.
Jenny McNeill, Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) commented, “This year we have a very special Jubilee themed ‘Fill Your Boots’ competition and we are on the look-out for the most imaginative planted arrangement using a pair of wellies! Last year entrants excelled within this competition and this year I have no doubt that they will all receive the Royal seal of approval in Healthy Horticulture area at Balmoral Park.
She continued “With it being the Platinum Jubilee year, we want to see boots fit for a Queen at this year’s Balmoral Show. Why not give it some welly and be crowned our ‘King’ or ‘Queen’ of the Show!”
