On Thursday 28th October 2021, the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) were crowned winners of the ‘Impact/Highlight of the Decade’ at the annual Farming Life Awards that took place at La Mon Hotel & Spa.
The Best Impact / Highlight of the Decade, sponsored by MSD Animal category is awarded to the individual, group, organisation or business that has made a strong impact on the farming industry over the past decade.
On the night, the RUAS triumphed at the ceremony and returned to Balmoral Park as the worthy recipients of this prestigious accolade.
Operations Director Rhonda Geary commented “We are thrilled to have received this award and the organisation is honoured that we have been recognised by the judging panel as having made an impact in the NI agri-industry within the past decade.
She continued “Over the past 10 years the Society has flourished since making the move to Balmoral Park, Lisburn in 2013 – this was without a doubt one of our biggest challenges yet achievements to date. It was no easy feat but the superb team at the RUAS has excelled within our new home and year on year we promote agriculture through our flagship event Balmoral Show as well as the Royal Ulster Winter Fair and Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships.
“Here is to the next 10 years of growth and success at Balmoral Park!"
