Balmoral Show Digs Deep

Trucks, tractors, trailers and forklifts represent just some of the agricultural machinery to be showcased at the 2010 Balmoral Show in partnership with Ulster Bank.

Over 10,080sqm of trade space has been secured for exhibitors to display state of the art equipment for the agricultural, engineering and construction industries.

“The Balmoral Show provides an excellent platform to introduce new products and engage with a diverse new audience - and our trade exhibitors recognise this. Our machinery section attracts local and national businesses, offering a wide choice of products at competitive prices, and remains one of the most popular attractions with our visitors.” explains RUAS Chief Executive Colin McDonald.

David Laidlaw, RUAS trade stand co-ordinator adds, “Due to the increased interest in exhibiting at this year’s Show, the machinery section has now been expanded to include all of Section B.  Brand new exhibitors this year include Kitt Kraiburg, Husqvarna, Abbey Machinery and Chapman Landscaping.”

Ranking as one of the oldest agricultural machinery companies in the UK and Ireland, Fleming Agri-Products will attend again this year, celebrating a remarkable 150 years in business. Other old favourites in attendance include Richard Keenan & Co Ltd and John K Cathcart Ltd.

2010 will mark 30 years in business for Carryduff Forklift LTD, and 50 unbroken years attendance at the Balmoral Show by Plant Lubrication (NI) founder and managing director, Bob McCaffrey:

“I have been a regular fixture at Balmoral Show since the business’ inception 36 years ago.  Prior to that I exhibited with different employers but have always occupied the same site – Stand E12.  This year, Plant Lubrication (NI) will be displaying a range of products suitable for the agriculture, commercial and construction industries. We’re looking forward to another year of successful trading and valuable customer interaction.”

The Balmoral Show runs from Wednesday 12 May – Friday 14 May 2009.  It is open from 8.30am – 8.00pm daily.  Admission charges range from £7 - £15 depending on circumstances (i.e. full and half day tickets, group and concession rates).  There is no charge for children under 12 years when accompanied by an adult.  For more information visit www.balmoralshow.co.uk.
